I provide training and consulting services within the Metro Detroit area and on a national platform. Whether my work is clinical practice with individuals or families, supervision, consultation with organizations, or training, every aspect of my work has a theoretical grounding as well as a human and artistic element in terms of how this theoretical framework and knowledge is applied.
Every client is unique and services are customized to fit the needs and strengths of each client. Supporting organizations and the community on topics dedicated to creating and maintaining safe and supportive learning environments, including bullying prevention, trauma and loss, building resilience and restorative practices. I am motivated to assist you in creating a trauma-informed system of support for your district, business, and/or organization to create a positive environment, and create change using a resilience-focused lens. With over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and their families, I have in-depth experience in both clinical and administrative roles working in and consulting with schools and community organizations.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Michigan and hold an MSW from Wayne State University and am a Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner/Trainer with Starr Commonwealth. During the shutdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, I obtained my clinical telehealth certification to provide therapy online. I also hold an Educational Specialist Degree from Oakland University in Organizational Leadership. I am currently pursuing a PhD.. at Oakland University in Early Childhood where I am the Manager of Academic Accountability and adjunct faculty within the School of Education and Human Services and the Department of Social Work.
